MY FRIEND ABIR

I'm going to explain a little bit about Abir.
Abir has been my best friend for four years, I met her at school. She's 17 years old, like me. She is studying the second year of 'Batxillerat' in Badalona, and currently she doesn't work, because she doesn't have enough free time.
Her parents are from Morocco, and she and her two younger brothers were born in Spain. Her mother tongue is Arabic, but she also goes to an English Academy four hourrs a week to improve this language, and because it will serve her in the future. As you can see, she is multilingual, she speaks Catalan, Spanish, English and Arabic.

She is very kind polite with others, she always tries to help when someone has a problem, she is very supportive and very emphatic, she knows how to put herself in the skin of the other. She is very careful with her things, for her everything has great value. Another value that characterizes her, is that she is very independent, she does not need anyone to be behind her all day, and also very responsible and organized. She is very self-confident and very positive when faced with a problem and has great abilities to overcome them.
SHe is very curious girl, she likes to learn new things. She also loves to be with her friends, go shopping, go for a walk. Without forggeting that she adores her family, and always spend  lot of time with them. If she has free time, she likes to go to the gym, exfoliate, free herself.

I have a lot of conficende with Abir, because we see each other in class every day. During the summer there is no school, but we go out for dinner, explain our problems.
Next year she wants to go to the univerity, she does not know what degree to do, but she knows that it will be related to sciences. Years later, she wants tostart a family and get married.

ELITE

Elite, is a series of Netflix for teenagers.
Three poorteenagers run out of school beacuse it collapses. They are granted a scholarship to enter a school of people with money. When they arrive at the new institute they face the reflection of their new rich classmates.
Two stereotypes are shown: the ricch and arrogant people. And the humble poor people who do not realize the manipulation.
Throughout the story we try to discover the mystery of a murder in the high school.
I recommend this series to all teenagers who want to entertain themselves for a while, and to all people who like intrigue and mystery.

DILEMMAS

Your sister has a boyfriend and one day she asks you to answer the phone and tell her boyfriend she is ill and that she can't go out that Saturday night. You know she is planning to meet another boy that night. What would you do?

I would talk with my sister: I would tell her that what she is doing is not right, that she shouldthink things through before doing them, otherwise she would regret it. If she really wants to meet a new boy, her current boyfriend will understand, and it will be better if he finds out from her than from a third person.

I would do everything possible to make her think about it, to tell her boyfriend the truth, or not to meet another boy. In the case that she does not accept any of these options, I will have to talk with my brother-in-law. I do not like doing this to my sister, but I also have a lot of appreciation to him, I do not want him to suffer for her, and I should tell him what is happening.

BIOGRAPHY - MY BEST FRIEND

AABIR EZZANOUNI

Abir Ezzanouni is an Spanish student. She was born in 2001 in Badalona, ​​Barcelona.

Her parents were born in Morocco and came to Spain in 2000 for work. She lives with them and with her two little brothers.

In 2003, she started studying at the Llibertat School, and since 2012 she has studied at the high school 'La Pineda'.

Since childhood she has had a strong character, and has always been very responsible and organized in her studies, and very generous with the people who need it.

In her free time she likes to play sports, go to the gym. for her it is very easy to learn languages, apart from Catalan and Spanish, he also studies English and Arabic, which will be very useful when looking for a job.

He is currently in the first year of high school, in the absence of a year to go to university, he is not clear about her studies, but she has opted for the scientific studies side of helping people. With her great ability to oppose the problems, she will be able to do everything that she proposes and more.

BIOGRAPHY - STEPHEN CURRY

Wardell Stephen Curry is an American basketball player from the Golden State Warriors of

the NBA. He was born in 1988 in Ohio, USA.

He is 1.91 meters tall, plays in the base position, although he can also make an escort. He

is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry, and brother of also the player Seth Curry.

He played for 3 seasons with the Wildcats, in the university, and soon proved his qualifications

as the second best scorer in the whole country after player Kevin Durant.

Curry was selected in 2009 by the Golden State Warriors.10 His newcomer deal was $ 12.7

million in four years.

In 2011, he had to undergo surgery on his ankle after many injuries, and in 2012 he returned

to play, being a risky renewal after many injuries.

As of 2012, he grew up as player, being the best NBA player on different occasions,

maximum triple scorer, maximum ball interceptor ...

He is currently married with Ayesha Curry, with whom he shares two children. And today

he continues to play in the NBA, leaving the levelvery high and being one of the best players

in the history of basketball.

MY GAP YEAR

During this year 2018 I will not study. I will go to different countries of the world, to learn

and enjoy.

The first destination will be the USA. I will travel with my friends from school. The purpose
of this trip will be to learn English perfectly, as we think it is very necessary for our future.

We will visit the Niagara Falls, the Statue of Liberty, the Wave in Arizona, among many other
places. Oh and we also want to go to see a basketball game of the NBA, and another of
football, they say it is very exciting.

We will try to enjoy the food, without getting too fat, because the typical food there is very
fat: hamburgers, frankfurt, potatoes, bacon ...

                               

Secondly, I will visit Morocco with my family, because my mother has always wanted to visit
it. We will learn a little about their religion and we will see a lifestyle very different from our
country.

We will visit important sites, for example the desert of Merzouga, the great market of
Marrakech, a mosque ... And we can not go back to Spain without trying dishes such as
tajin, or the famous couscous.

   

Finally I will travel to Bora Bora, a small island of French Polynesia. My two best friends and
I have always wanted to go there, so we will go to the end of the year, to enjoy its wonderful
beaches and to relax and have fun.

The island is small and dedicated to tourism, so we will visit all its coast, we will do scuba
diving with turtles, and we will go on a tour of its small Vaitape village.

We will eat shellfish and fishes that we can not find in our country, like Chevrettes, Varo.
We will also enjoy the tasty flavor of exotic fruits from there.

                         

    

I wish to enjoy these trips very much and I hope it will be a unique and unforgettable
year. I will have time to think about my future and in 2019 I will continue with my studies.

EASTER WEEK 2018

Monday, March 26

It was 11 in the morning and I woke up because the bell had rung. It was my friend abir, we had agreed to go shopping at 10.30 and I had fallen asleep. We went to Barcelona, she bought some pants and two jackets, and I bought some sneakers and a T-shirt. We ate at the burger. After that, we complained that we do not lose weight ...

about 5 o'clock in the afternoon we took the subway back home, I had training at 7 and she had to go to the gym.

After a hard day walking, and after the training, when I got home I had dinner and I fell asleep due to fatigue.

Tuesday, March 27.

in the morning I went to my grandparents' house to say goodbye, they were going on a trip for a week. I stayed at home for the day making them company, and I helped my grandmother to make the food, because my cousins and I were staying to eat. in the afternoon I went with them to the park and I babysat. I bought them baubles as a good cousin that I am.

At 7 I went back to train, my coach wanted to put us in shape. I ended up really tired again, so when I got home I fell asleep right away

Wednesday, March 28

It was 7 in the morning and the alarm sounded. I wanted to take advantage of the day, I had to study and do homework. I had spent a lot of time being lazy the rest of the days!

I was since 7am to 6pm doing homework, reading the English book ...I only just rested to eat.

It was the last day of training of this holiday, since on Thursday my companions were going on a trip. To say goodbye we went to have a pizza for dinner at a restaurant near my house. The weight we had lost of weight by doing two hours of exercise, we had recovered it with that huge pizza.

Thursday  March 29

I had to get up early again. but this time because I had to go to work as a basketball instructor all morning. Last year I worked four days a week as a basketball coach, but I had to give up because I did not have time for my studie

After eating, I started doing homework and studying again. I did not  feel like doing it , I was too lazy.

Friday, March 30

It was a holiday day, so my parents were at home. In the morning I took advantage to continue with my homework, and then I went with my parents to Barcelona to take a walk and to eat at a restaurant.

In the afternoon we went back to Badalona and I met with my classmates to see each other and spend the afternoon

Saturday, March 31.

At 7 in the morning I woke up again. I had to finish all the homework and not leave it for the last day. I was tired of studying on vacation, I hope that in the future I will be rewarded with a good job.

my friends had just arrived at Badalona, they had spent three days in an apartment in Blanes having a good time, I could not go because I had to study, what bad luck! At 6 pm, as I had grown tired of studying, we went for a walk and they told me anecdotes from the department.

Sunday ,1 April

I spent the whole morning giving the last touch to my work of school, and then the whole family came to eat at my house. We were 20 people, then I had to wash many plates, cutlery and glasses.

Like every first day of the month, I went down with my friends to the center of the city, where we  all the teenagers met in the afternoon. It was a very fun afternoon, we had a great time. As an anectoda, they interviewed us for  TV show,it was a lot of fun.

Villagarcia

I'm going to talk about Villagarcia, a small town in the province of Badajoz, in the southwest of Spain. It has a population of about 950 people. In contrast, in the summer, up to 2000 people have registered in the town. My parents and I go every summer to visit the family.

It is not a big town, it has an area of abou 60km2. There aren't buildings, there are only large houses, usually one or two floors maximum. All of them are painted white, that's one of the things I like the most. They also have very large backyards and swimming pools.

The weather is quite extreme. The summers are very hot during the day, the temperatures reach up to 45º C, and at night the drop drastically to 15º C. The winters, on the other hand very cold during the whole day, where the temperatures stay at about 0-5º C and it snows a lot.

The town of Villagarcia is famous to be one of the main sources of cultivation of cereals and olives. In addition to having the largest number of sheep heads of all Spain, it also has one of the main susage distribution companies in Spain. Many tourists come to visit these large factories, along with the main castle that has a great influence in the summer months.

What I like the most about this place is the personality of the people who live in it, they are very good and wind. I would like to try to live a  this place for a while, since it is much quieter and is not as stressful as Barcelona. But on the other hand, I would prebably get bored, since there are a few people, and to relate to the other people I should leave the town.

Finally, I recommend you visit ir, you will not regreet it.

A Foreigner in Britain

The first thing I want to say, is that I liked the book a lot, I found it very interesting, since I knew almost nothing about Great Britain. I have not been bored, and it has been easy to read, but I had to look for a few words in the dictionary. I have decided to write my work about things that I have learned with this book, because I think they are many.

I will explain everything that I have learned in chronological order, as it has been appearing in the story.

It sounds funny, but surely the bells of London are heard looser than the bells of Madrid, because Antonio did not hear them at the end of the year because of the cries of the people. Is is amazing how many people there must be so that the great  bells are not heard! Years ago I went to Madrid for the same date and there were many people in the Plaza del Sol, but the bells were heard.

I was also surprised that there is so much ethnic diversity, I did not know why and I searched the internet. I have learnt that it is because years ago England had colonies in other countries, and that is why there is so much diversity of races.

I was also shocked by the taxi driver who spoke with them in Cockney slang, I had never heard of it, I have investigated and it is very difficult to understand, stop saying many letters and there are sounds that do nort pronounce.

I have been very interested in love spoons, I had heard talking about them in a movie bus I was coriuos to know hoy long ago this tradition apparead. I researched and the oldest example is from the year 1667, but is believed that they are older. Is it believed that it was a soup spoon, and over the years it became larger and more decorated. It lost its original usefulness and became a prized decorate object to hang on a wall.

I have been very moved by the part of the Busby Babes. I asked my grandfather, since he I liked soccer a lot on he explained that it was a very sad news for that time. I was very impressed that he I remembered this events.

Finally, I have learned what a tartan is. before reading this book I thought that the traditional skirts were the same, that there was not a design for each family. It has caught my attention, that they continue to wear the kilts.

The United Kingdom is full or traditions that are preserved. Is is magnificent, this brings a lot of wealth to all these cities.

 I hope to continue reading in the future the new adventures in Ireland and learning more.

Do you think that young people spend too much money on clothes?

Yes, especially young people, we live in a world where our image ir our letter of introduction, and we all want to make a good impression in front of others. More than out of necessity, we all buy to satisfy our needs and desires.
What desires? We want to always be fashionable, buy that jacket that beautiful actress has on the television ad, those shoes worn by all the people of the institute, or those pants wich are trendy this 2018.
In our culture, the achievement of a state of internal satisfaction is confused with the acquisition of an object.
We often buy with the aim of achieving a state of tranquility, stability and internal confidence. It has to do with the power of acquisition, as if the power of adquisition could make us feel internally more powerful, stable and secure.
In short, we can say that the more internal needs are unknown, the more shopping we do. It is a mistake, we must buy the right clothes which are necessary for day
to day.
Of course, we can give ourselves whims of clothes and shoes that we like a lot, but I should never become an obsession to buy everything to see.

Facebook and Instagram

Today I'm going to talk about my opinion about Fcaebook and Instagram.

I will start talking about facebook, the social network created in 2004 that allows people to add friends, send messages and share links, photos and videos, among other things.
It is open to anyone who is more than thirteen years old, and only an email address is required to register.
To me personally, I think that for most of the teenagers this social network has tired us out. When I created my facebook account, it was very entretaining, but as the months went by, It was very boring to look at it. Despite the fact that young people like this social network every time less, it is still the most used in the world.
Most people my age just log in to Facebook to see their friends' birthday, but older people are still using the social network with the same frequency as before, since they may not have discovered others.
The problem is that it is boring to use it, every hundred articles or photos that come out, you can be interested in just three or four. Because apart from what your friends publish, there is also a lot of publicity and links to pages that you do not like. Also appear those photos that your friends have liked or which they have commented, is that what interests me? No!

And now, I will talk about my favourite social network, Instagram. It is a social network very easy to use, created in 2010 to share photos and videos with your friends or whoever you want. I have used this social network since five years ago, and today, I am addicted to Instagram, I can not spend more than a week without publishing one photo.
What I like the most, unlike Facebook, is that I "like" the photos, I know that my friends do not see this on the wall. I also like that photos of my interest appear, that only the publications of my friends or the people I want to see  appear.
Something else to add, is that I am very gossipy and I use it to look at the profile of many people.
I think one of the best things that it has, is that every few days, the creators introduce improvements and new updates that make the social network improve day by day.
As the content is more confused, is it less commercial and we like it more, it becomes more prone to use it, and that is why it is the third most used social network worlwide, after Fcaebook and Youtube.

In short, I think both are very good social networks, where you can spend a fun time, eack one with its good and bad things.
Just as I say that you can spend an entertaining time, I also say that it takes a lot of time, since many people ( I include mysef), we are addicts and we need to look our acount all the time. We should not depend on the mobile os these pages, because they take away a lot of time from other things.

My favourite photo

One of my favourite photo is this one of my grandparents.

I took the photo in 2005, in my grandparents house. I think that day was my grandmother's birthday.

I took the photo after my grandmother blew the candles of the cake. We were all the family at home, we were 20 people , my parents, uncles, cosins...
It was a very special moment, she was 50 years old, and it was the firts birthday that she spent without her parents, my great-grandparents.

I love this photo, because it is a moment that the family always remembers, and beacause my grandparents appear in it. Who are very important to me, they are the ones who have taken care of me since I was little. I thank them for all they have done for me.

I have the photo on my computer, and also in a photo fram in the hall of my house.

My name is Nadia and I am 16 years old. I'm from barcelona, but I live in badalona.I'm studying first course of "Batxillerat" in la Pineda school.

I have a good group of friends at school. we stay to study and do homework in the afternoons, and sometimes we go out on weekends to have fun.

I am a quiet person but sociable, generous and very friendly. I like helping other people when they need it. I am also responsible, mature and hardworking.

I am of medium height, and normal weight. I have long, brown and wavy hair, and big brown eyes. I never wear pigtails, I don't like anything. I like to wear modern clothes, and I prefer tight pants, and wide T-shirts or sweaters.


I like sports a lot, especially basketball. I play in the badalona team for 10 years. I also like to spend time with my friends, have fun, and enjoy... but now studying high school is a little impossible, I don't have enough time.
The season I like most of the year is summer, since I can spend more time with my family and friends, but I hate it when it's very hot. I also like Christmas because it is a time to be in family and very united.

                

I don't know what I want to study in the future, but at the moment I hope to get my "Batxillerat" with a good grade, and then to do the career that I like, but related to science or mathematics. I would also like to create a family, have children and get married.
