"Stacey Kramer: The best gift I ever survived"

This week's listening assignment for homework will be a three-minute video I've recently watched on the TED conferences website. I think it's well-worth seeing it. It's a kind of parable, both shocking and moving, inspiring and frightening. Don't miss it!

We'll have some whole-class feedback on it next class.

I would like to highlight the following quote from her speech:

"The next time you face something that's unexpected, unwanted, and uncertain, consider that it just may be a gift."
Stacey Kramer

These videos are normally subtitled in about 40 different languages by some volunteers, but this is a very recent one and so far it's only been subtitled into 5 languages. Catalan and Spanish have not been done yet! You can always volunteer to do that, if you like it! It's good practice! ;)
