A film review

My favourite film is “A 3 metros sobre el cielo”. It’s a Spanish film of Fernando González Molina. The film is from 2010 and lasts 118 minutes. It’s a drama and romance movie.
The plot of the story is about two young people who belong to different worlds. It is the chronicle of an improbable love, almost impossible but inevitable dragging in a frantic journey where they discover the first great love. Babi (Maria Valverde) is a girl from uppermidle class that is educated in goodness and innocence. Hache (Mario Casas) is a rebellious boy, impulsive, unconscious, has an appetite for risk and danger embodied in endless fights and illegal motorbike races, the limit of common sense.
All in all, I’d recommend this film because it’s a very nice love story and it’s very exciting. Personally, I think that I love Mario Casas, it’s my favourite actor.

Do you think that school holidays are too long?

Some people think that school holidays are too long. However, some people think that school holidays are too short.
In summer, teenagers can rest from school. They can prepare for the next course of study.
Personally, I think that teenagers can work to earn money to pay for University in the summer.
Teenagers go out at night because they enjoy different activities, such as going to the disco.
If the school holidays are shorter, they will not be able to have fun. Consequently, they will get bored and discouraged to learn.
In addition, if parents work there are “esplais” and “casals” to leave them there.
As far as I am concerned, school holidays aren’t too long. We need to relax and enjoy.

Easter Holidays

Badalona
4th February
Hi Carla,
How’s life in Barcelona? Sorry I haven’t written for a while, but I’ve been very busy with exams. At the moment, I’m thinking about what I want to do at Easter holidays.
I’m going to go to Bora Bora with my best friends Marta and Andrea. We are going to a hotel in Motus.
Then we are going to go to the spa, because we like to relax. Andrea likes to relax and she will sunbathe on the beach. Marta and I will swim with dolphins and turtles.
Then we are going to dive. We will be seeing corals and stingrays.
Have you decided what you’re going to do?
All the best,
Alba
P.S. I love you so much.

Advantages and disadvantages of being an only child

Some people think that having a brother is a drawback, they like to be an only child. However, some people think that have a brother is the most beautiful thing. There are several points to consider.

On the one hand, having a brother is more beautiful than being an only child. I have got one sister and one brother and I’m proud of them.

My sister’s name is Cristina, she is eleven years old and we are good friends though sometimes we fight. She is good at Science. Although we are very different I’m proud of my sister and I like to help her.

My brother is called Jordi, he is four years old and we play a lot. I love him. Having a brother or a sister is funnier than being an only child. You can play with him or her. You never get bored.

Another point is that If you have a little brother or a little sister, you can learn more, you can help him, you can change their diapers, you can bath him, you can feed him… you can practice being a mother or a father. Also if you have a big brother, he can help you. Furthermore brothers can learn to share. Only children are usually spoiled.

On the other hand having a brother is a bit irritant. Sometimes having a brother or a sister is very unbearable. They take away your things. Also they break or lose your things, they make noise… Besides you fight with them. I don’t like fighting with my brothers and I don’t fight with them, is difficult, but I’m keeping at it. I’m optimistic about my brothers.

In conclusion, there are advantages and disadvantages to being an only child, but in my opinion it is important for everyone to learn to share and help your brothers.

An unforgettable holiday

I’ve been to Bora Bora with my best friends Marta and Andrea. We went to a hotel in Motus. As soon as we arrived, I went to the bungalows in the water and we left our bags there.
Then we went to the spa, because we like to relax. Afterwards we went to the beach. Andrea likes to relax and she sunbathed on the beach. Marta and I like active holidays, therefore Marta and I went to swim with dolphins, they are very beautiful. Then we dived. We saw corals, and stingrays. Afterwards we went to feed sharks.
Later, we saw monuments and stone temples, in Anau, Vaitape and Faanui and took photos. Then we bought souvenirs.
Ultimately Marta, Andrea and I went to the hotel and we saw fishes, stingrays, turtles… through the ground glass. We ate mahi mahi and we slept in the bungalow.

My best friend

I’m going to talk about my best friend. She’s Marta. She was with me in the same class at primary. She’s seventeen years old, and she’s medium height and fairly slim. She’s got brown hair, and it’s long and straight. She’s got brown eyes.
Marta is quiet cheerful, friendly, imaginative and funny. She’s very affectionate and sociable. She likes order, and she’s very tidy and organized. She doesn’t like untidy people at all.
She’s quiet and shy. It’s difficult for her to make new friends.
Although Marta and I are very different, we get on really well. All in all, I think Marta is my best friend. I love her because is patient and charming with me.

My typical weekend

My weekends start on Friday afternoons. I usually go to Magic with Carla, Susana and Selena. We go to the cinema or shopping.

On Saturday mornings I get up late and I have breakfast. I go to Barcelona with my best friends, Marta and Andrea and we have lunch. We sometimes go to the promenade. I usually go home at nine o’clock.
On Sundays I sleep until twelve o’clock. I get up and I have a shower. I have lunch and I do my homework with a friend. I often watch TV and play computer games.
My favourite part of the weekend is on Saturday when I’m with my best friends Marta and Andrea.
