Friday, March 23:

Today I had to go to the institute to pick up my second trimester grades, then I returned home and spent the afternoon watchimg my korean online series.

Saturday, March 24:

My mother got angry with me for not accompanying her to the Boqueria, in Bracelona. Meanwhile, I cleaned the house and I started to see my chinese online series.

Sunday, March 25:

Today my mother woke up my father and me at 6am to go running until 8am. I came home tired after going out to run, yesterday I went to sleep at 2am. After breakfast we started cleaning the whole house. That day really exhausting.

Monday, March 26:

It was my lazy, I didn't do anything practically all day apart from reading and listening to music. Even though I did the home work they had given us for Easter.

Tuesday, March 27:

My parents and I went shopping for the week at Carrefour and when we got home we did a movie session.

Wednesday, March 28:
I had to take care of my neighbor's two children, although they paid me 30 euros for 4 hours, so it wasn't so bad. Also their children were so cute and calm.


Thursday, March 29:
This was the day to go shopping. It was super fun.


Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of March:
Today my mother made us go out for a walk with my father and me throughout Barcelona. It was fun and at the same time tiring.


Sunday, April 1:
I spent the whole day doing the Easter homework.


Monday, April 2:
It was the last day of Easter rest. Tomorrow will be the day of returning to the institute and I will have to get up early.

Dilemmas

What would you do?

• You have noticed your best fri8end cheating in an end of term exam. A lot of teens cheat, but you and your friend have always been against it, up to now. What would you do?

I would talk to my friend and ask him:Why did he cheat on the exam? Maybe he didn't prepare well for the exam? But in any case it wouldn't be something about which he was angry, just surprised.

• Your sister has a boyfriend and one day she asks you to answer the phone and tell her boyfriend she's ill and that she can't go out that Saturday night. You know she's planning to meet another boy that night. What would you do?

I would ask her if something had happened between her and her boyfriend, about which she was angry with her boyfriend and he still doesn't know about his anger? And if so, I would advise her to talk to him. And if that isn't the case, I would advise her not to do it.

• You are completely against smoking. Your brother asks you to bring him a carton of cigarettes from the Duty Free Shop when you go to London next week so that he can save some money. What would you do? 

I don't know what I would bring, not only because I am against smoking, but also because taht hurts. I would advise him to quit smoking, although he may not pay attention, he would still try.

MY GAP YEAR

On my holidays:

I went to South Korea. I visited the palace of the Joseon Dynasty, the museums, the Suncheonman Bay Gardewn, the Jeundo Island and the Lotte World attraction Park.
I tried some typical dishes like Bibimbap, bulgogi, kimchi, bingsu (ice cream) and more. 
I also learned how to cook korean food, I took old korean writing classes and I bought the tradicional korean : Hanbok.

After going to South Korea, I traveled to Thailand and I visited Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, explored tha National Park of Thailand and Nong Khai Park, there were many interesting scultures. I also explored the Island Koh Chang and the small town of Chiang Rai, there was a beautiful White Temple.

There I tried Pad Thai, one of the most popular dishes in Thailand and the tradicional dessert Sticky rice with mango. I learned to ride an elephant, I did boating on Koh Chang Island and I learned how to make floral decorations.

And to almost finish my gap year, a trip to Peru there visited my familty that is in Lima and Arequipa, after viviting them I went to Machu Picchu, visited the Nazca lines and the mountain of seven colors: Ausangate. When traveling to Peru I can taste again Pachamanca, ceviche, carapulcra and more, all homemade food is made by my beloved grandmother.  Also, I took Marinera classes, drove with an all terrain motorbike and swan with sea lions. I wish I could visit my family again. I should also have traveled to China, Dubai and Egypt.

 

The place where I live

I live in Seoul, it is the capital of South Korea. It has a population of more than 1 000 000 people.

Seoul is considered a global city for its explosion of economic growth. There are many tourist places like The National Museum of Korea where it is shown the culture and history of its people. 

The Changdeokgung Palace, which was built in inspiration to the environment by King Taejong. The Gyeongbok Palace is the most beautiful and was built during the Joseon Dynasty. 

There is also the Buddhist Temple Bongeunsa and the Lotte World which is  an amusement park.

The weather in Seoul tends to be generally warmn wiht humid summers, and winters are really cold and snowy.

Seoul is famous for its architecture and its great Internet connection is faster than any other country, also for its gastronomy and its celebrities.

What I like most about Seoul are its tourist places, ist gastronomy, ist culture, ist shopping centers and ist celebrities.

• Do you think that young people spend too much money on clothes and cosmetics?

Yes, currently most young people tend to look at the brand of clothes they are going to buy more than the quality of clothes themselves. New clothes are also usually bought every time fashion has canged. 

In the case of cosmetics, it would be practically the same, since new creams, exfoliants, make-up base, lipsticks, etc are always being launched on the market.

An opinion essay

• Live concerts are the best way to listen to music. What do you think?

In my opinion, live concerts are a funny to listen to music and it is a great experience, because you can see your favorite band or singer in person without a screen in between, listen as he plays or sings without vocal arrangements.

Also, when you are at a concert you can sing your favorite song along with all the fans that are round you while still being able to hear the voice of your favorite band or singer.

There are also times where your band or singer makes a show for all the fans who have attended their concert.

Finally, it is a way to spend a special and unique day with your friends, you can meet new people with your same tastes and maybe start a new friendship.

Reader Assignment

Fortunately, I was able to visit all of Scotland. I traveled all the way to John o'Groats which is located in the far north of Scotland.

Then, I took the ferry to the Orkney Islands, when I got to the islands I went to see the selkies, which are the most fascinating animals of Scottish mythology, selkies are seals capable of taking human form.

In the afternoon I went to the ring Brodgar which is the circle of stunes, where you can find Viking runes engraved on them and, you can also see the sunset. That was a magical exeprience that I can never forget.

On the third day, Martin and I went to drink the
best scotch Whiskeys in the Highland Park distillery, although I prefer beer from the Swannay Brewery distillery.

My favourite photo

One of my favourite photo is this one of myself.

The photo was taken by my aunt in the winter of 2006 when the Day of the Fatherland of Peru was celebrated.

I was marching along with my companions in celebration for the Day of the Fatherland. This parade takes place on July 28th of each year for the Independence in Lima (Capital of Peru).
When they took the photo, apparently, a few minutes before I was marching in the opposite direction to my companions.

I like this photo because it was my first parade and it reminds me of when I went to the amusement park with all my family.

I have the photo in a frame together with some other photos.

I'm going to describe my friend Moisés.
He is from Peru and lives with his parents and his younger brother. He is 17 years old and is a studient.
He has a straight brown hair and his a eyes are black, he is a bit tall. He usually wears a loose-fitting T-shirt, jeans and black o blue jacket and white trainers. Also, usually wears a cap, ring and an ear piercing.
He has a positive personality and he likes to make people laugh. He is funny, playful, kind and friendly but a little shy with the girls.
His hobbies or interests are dancing, singing, drawing and playing video games like "Call of Duty III" and "Overwatch" or playing sports in his free time.
