Present Tenses


     Read the following sentences.

*State verbs and verbs describing feelings are not normally used in the present continuous: be, like, want, know, need, have (possession)

Future Forms

We have the following future forms:
Present continuous 
am/is/are + going to + infinitive
will + infinitive

Read the sentences below and decide which sentence refers to...

  1. an arrangement
  2. a plan or intention
  3. a prediction (based on clear evidence)
  4. a prediction (based on your opinion)
  5. a promise
  6. an offer
  7. a spontaneous decision

My sister is going to buy a car.

Grammar revision

    Past verbal tenses

    The other day I was surfing the Internet and I found by chance this great power point presentation created by an English teacher and I thought I should share it with you. So here it is.
    It presents all the verbal tenses in the past. We have not studied the past perfect continuous yet, because this is in the 2nd of Batxillerat syllabus, but have a look at the other tenses for revision.
